The Sebastopol Spinners is a caller-run Advanced and Challenge Club that meets on Sundays at Wischemann Hall in Sebastopol. We first met on Oct. 5, 1986. The Spinners dance a strong A-2 level, using a wide range of non-standard and left-handed formations. Our dancers attend Advanced festivals all over the west and have great success at being able to handle whatever is thrown at them.

Our Challenge group dances C-1, and is currently integrating some recent C-1 graduates into the group and working its way through increasingly challenging choreography.

Jean and Ray van Blarcom usually cue rounds between tips during the A-2 session, and I do the rounds when they are unable to attend.

Most of the year, we do a three-part program:
A-1/ A-2 Class – 5:15 - 7
A-2 Workshop – 7- 8:45
C-1 Workshop – 8:45 - 10:30

In July, the class moves into the workshop group and we go to our summer schedule for July and August:
A-2 Workshop – 6 - 8
C-1 Workshop – 8 - 10

We are always dark the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and return to the regular schedule the following week.
New Advanced classes begin the first Sunday following Labor Day at 5:15.
New Challenge classes begin when I have two squares of A-2 dancers who want a C-1 class, about every 5 years.
